Diam Cork

Diam corks are an agglomerate cork made from granulated cork. The granules are then treated. Diam's "patented process then uses supercritical carbon dioxide with intense pressure to penetrate and cleanse the cork granules. This procedure removes 99.8% of TCA. (Diam Cork)." The granules are then glued together to form an agglomerate cork.

Diam corks are virtually guaranteed to be free of cork taint.

My only concern with Diam corks is the effects on wines in the long term.

It will take many years for these questions to be answered, which begs the question, why not just use a screw cap?
